Submission from Kevin Molin
I love libraries because of the serendipitous searching experience I can have browsing the bookshelves. Without that, I wouldn’t’ve come across “Locke & Key” or the works of China Mieville in my local public library.
I love being able to borrow an eclectic range of books, with no comments on my choice of reading matter.
I love being able to pick up a bargain at the Book Sale!
I love being able to borrow books from other libraries within my local district for free.
I love being opened up to items I wouldn’t normally have chosen.
I love libraries for allowing me to broaden my horizons, to allow me to delve into the creative minds of others - without being charged for it!
Essentially, I’d be lost without my local library.
